Off to the yard sales

Yup, dh and I are going to hit the yard sales today, hoping we find that perfect 'thing' to sell on eBay or to add to our home. I've always heard of people finding big boxes of yarn and such but I never find anything like that. Maybe today is the day.....

Well, I'm still a 'normal people' as we didn't win the lottery last night and it was won by 4 different people in different states. One winner being in Texas but I think they said Houston, or was is Arlington? Doesn't really matter to me....it wasn't me!!

I've been crocheting up a storm lately. Doing stuff for swaps, for my Etsy store and a comfortghan for the 84 year old lady who lives next to me who was just diagnosed with cancer (so sad).

Well, my little fella is looking over my shoulder, wanting to get on the computer to play his games so I'll cut this short for now. If I find any fantasterrific deals, I'll sure let you know!!

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

I've seen posts from people who find all this yarn in yard or estate sales, wouldn't that be wonderful? I've never had that kind of luck either. What usually happens is I see nothing, but the kids find a couple dozen peices of other people's junk to clutter up the house with!

I love yard sales. I haven't been to one in ages, though... I have, in the past, found yarn. But never boxes, only like a skein or two (balls, usually). One time, I found a garage sale (it was in a subdivison sale) with the mother lode!! She had tons of knitting needles (this was when I was first starting to knit, and first married... aka broke...) I got a few sets there. I have found a bunch of really nice yarn in bags at the Goodwill store here, though. I hope you have fun and find some good stuff! :D

I do find a lot of yarn at yard sales and I find crochet books here and there. My mom has been finding stuffing for me too.

I didn't go today. #2 son had his first football game and they won! Great game, I just wish he could have played more. His ankle is fine, just lost his starting spot for a while.

So what did you find today?

I never have any luck finding yarn at yard sales either.

Funny, because I had tons of yarn and thread at my yard sale and NOBODY BOUGHT IT!!!! Go figure. Guess there just aren't that many crocheters or knitters in my neck of the woods. =(
